First set was a bit slow, but the garage I was lifting in was about 5°C at the time.
Slingshot set: 3hunna x 8

Press: 185 x 3 x 3
Adam decided to yell “Faster you pussy” during my second set, so I was laughing through two of the reps

Neck Curls: 24kg x 3 x 15

Pull Ups: 90 x 5, 5, 8

 

Squat: 420 x 3 x 5
First set was fast, but felt funky, second was about the same, then everything started cramping. Abs, lower back, quads, little bit in my hammies. Third set was fucking awful as a result. If ladies have to go through that shit every 28 days, I feel for you big time. I actually missed on the 5th rep in a spot that I’ve never missed before, it’s actually the fastest part of my squat typically, but I reloaded the bar and got the rep. After that the cramps shifted into just being generally sore.

SLDL + Shrug: 345 x 3 x 5
Bit messy, tried them Pat’s way with the bar out in front a bit as much as I could, but the plates were octagonal. Mm.

Rows: 290 x 3 x 5
Bit sloppy, but I felt like doo-doo by this point. Whatevs.

Deadlift: 550 x 0
Not to say I should have got this, but I should have got this. Moved furniture all last night, got 6 hours sleep, and hurled right before leaving for the gym. It was real fucking close, too.

Squat: 455 x 1
Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t gonna go 2 weeks without any reasonably heavy squats. I ce really close to puking during/after, which I think is a pretty clear sign that I’m not in good form today. Whatever, 2014 is gonna be a bloodbath.

Mm. Don’t really know why I was expecting to make this after losing more weight, eating like shit all week, and completely rearranging my sleep schedule for exams. I’ll start back from 500 x 3 after New Years. I want to open at nats with 520 (As in get 520 for a triple by then) so I think that gives me plenty of time.

Some guy in the gym I’ve talked to a few times had one so I wanted to try it out. 125 was hella easy, but he was working with 75, so I didn’t wanna be a dick.

Pinch Grip Deadlifts: 160 x 3 x 8

First two sets were fast, third one first rep was okay. second slowed down a bit and the spotter grabbed it, I’m not gonna say “Oh, I definitely had it.” or anything, but it definitely wasn’t at a state where it should have been grabbed. Tried again, didn’t get the second, then took 315 to failure without a belt or wraps.

Press: 225 x 3
Could have been easier, but I did a lot of benching, and didn’t take a break after.

These were ridiculously fast, they felt heavy, but it just felt like everything was 100% hooked up and they were really fast and smooth.

Was an inch from locking the 8th out, I legit forgot how to breath on the 5th rep and ended up inhaling during the press.

Could have been a bit faster in the bottom end, I guess, but the top end was really fast.

These felt a bit harder than usual, I was also really hungry.

My right pec minor has been bugging me a little bit for a couple months now, today it was really fucky, probably from missing the rack on that front squat on Friday. Either way, the first rep of 357.5 wasn’t that bad, but the second came off on a huge angle. Might play around with reverse grip in or before the New Year.

Last two done, once I get the vids from my buddy I’ll put ‘em all together and upload them. It will most likely be up this evening.

Back-off Bench: 285 x 7
A few of them came off my chest pretty crooked.

Was kind of exaggerating the bottom and lockout, not pausing or anything, but they get a bit sloppy on these sets sometimes.

Press: 185 x 3 x 3
Gonna take volume down to this, and (After this week) hold my intensity at either a triple or 2 doubles at 2 plates so I can focus on my bench.

I felt pretty terrible all day, just lethargic and tired, so I was not looking forward to this, but they were hella fast and smooth. It actually felt pretty light tbh

The SLDLs were insanely smooth, like the best I’ve ever done. I figure I should be good for 345 when I move up weights next week.

Probably the strictest I’ve ever done them.
